Prezi: The Zooming Presentation Editor

Tired of using PowerPoint for your class presentations? Give Prezi a try. Launched in April of 2009, Prezi is a cloud-based program that allows you to create dynamic presentations online. With a zoomable interface and a customizable path, Prezi eliminates the need for slides (which move linearly and limit users' space for text and graphics). Instead, Prezi allows users to work across a single canvas, preset the course of presentations in any direction, and zoom in and out on content as needed.

If you're interested in working with Prezi, be sure to use your NYIT email address to register for a free student/teacher account which includes:
  • 500MB of storage space,
  • use of the Prezi editor at Prezi.com, and
  • the option to download presentations and present
    offline.

To see Prezi in action, visit PreziVideoChannel on YouTube and don't forget to check out the Prezi cheat sheets at http://prezi.com/learn.
